Don't Forget the Little Things... Clarksville TN Child Photographer

Bath-time! I may have my mommy goggles on right now, but that's OK. I think we all need to wear our mommy goggles sometimes. We need to stop and appreciate the little fleeting moments in life that will fly by all too fast. Of course as a photographer I stress the importance of getting professional portraits to preserve memories and to hang as beautiful art on your walls, but in this post, I want to stress the importance of snap shots. Of capturing those everyday moments. The little things we often take for granted.

Before you know it our children will be grown and starting their own lives. I feel it is important to preserve these everyday memories too. So please mommas make sure no matter how much your kids may whine or complain, get out that camera and capture those special little things in life that only you have the chance to catch. They are only little once and the time in life that a child finds joy in a bath, or a piece of candy, or a trip to the store with mommy or daddy will be gone.

Professional portraits are important yes, but the everyday moments are just as important. Today my little guy woke up with a very very wet diaper and so I put him straight in the bath. The light coming in the window was just so soft and yummy I just had to grab the camera and get some shots. I am glad I did. I can now cherish these images of the joy of bath-time from my son's perspective and when he is older and doesn't have time for me in his teenage world,  I can look back on this moment and smile and remember how he will always be my baby and I can be glad for these little moments in life.

We're Growing! We're Hiring! | Clarksville TN Photographer

Well It time. We have been growing and I just can't keep up all on my own. I love my clients with all my heart and it has been hard lately to keep up and give each one the attention deserved. I am so thankful for all my clients and all the referrals. I want to keep giving the very best service. In order to do that we need to expand.

I want to thank all my wonderful clients and ask that you please bear with us as we experience these "growing pains" and take the steps needed to get us to the next chapter and level of our photographic journey in capturing memories for you.

The first step is on this journey is to hire an assistant. I am looking for someone to assist on photoshoots as well as some administrative duties. This is a part time, non shooting position.
Applicants must be willing to work weekends and evenings.

*Internships are also available

Spring is Here! | Clarksville TN Family Photographer

I Just love spring! I absolutely love all the blooming flowers, trees and everything gets so green and beautiful! I am absolutely in love with this pretty spot out in the flower fields too! Here is a peek at a recent session I did in this gorgeous spot. This family was so fun and great to work with.

Of course the little one ran the show as most toddlers do so we just improvised and worked with her.
Isn't she just so cute though??

If you are looking to book a spring session now is the time. My weekends are booked through May already but I am taking June and July bookings now and I have a few May weekday/evening openings left as well.

GREETINGS...
I hope everyone had a great holiday season and new year. Things have been busy here at the studio and in the white household. We celebrated our baby';s first birthday and we just finished moving to a new house right after the holidays. I am so excited about the new studio space, new products we will be offering and resuming the photography classes!

Photography Basics Classes Resume...
We will  be resuming our SLR Mommas Camera basics class AND we will also be starting a second class that will focus more on the elements that make up a good picture (ie. subject placement, perspective, location, light etc)
I am looking for a new name for the classes as they are available to be attended by not just moms but also dads, teens and any individual that wants to learn how to use their camera and take better pictures.
Until I find a good name they will remain to be called SLR Mommas. Classes are always held on the last Saturday of the month.
Our first class of the year will be held on January 26th from  1:00-4:00. Location TBA
Cost is $80 and  spots are limited to 5 per class
