Anniversary Portraits, still in love! | Clarksville, TN family photographer

I just love couples! This couple was celebrating their one year anniversary and I had the honor of capturing it in images :)
We went downtown and just wandered and found some great spots! Here is a peek at their session:

Maternity Beauty | Clarksville, TN Maternity and Newborn Photographer

I am in love with this picture! I absolutely LOVE this flower field! Can you believe that this beautiful flower field is right in the middle of a construction site?? Well it is. I was driving by one day and caught a glimpse of it from the road so later that day I went and checked it out and decided this was the perfect spot for this lovely lady's maternity pictures.  I do lots of studio maternity sessions but have really been wanting to do an outdoor session. This was the perfect opportunity!

I had the pleasure of doing these maternity pictures for my friend ms Amy of Amy's Silly Goose Creations. She makes many of the beautiful hair pieces I use in my portraits. I just love this session and how the pictures came out. Enjoy this peek into the "construction site flowers"

Mother Daughter Portraits | Clarksville TN Family and Child Photographer

I promise, I wont bombard you with blog posts today. I just had to share one more. (Stay tuned tomorrow for a beautiful maternity session peek!)

This was such a special session for me. I have been photographing this family since baby girl was growing in mommas tummy. Right after her first birthday pictures they moved out of state. Momma and baby girl came to clarksville for a visit and while they were here I got to do some mother daughter portraits with them! I was so excited to see them again and to take their pictures too! We stopped in a flower field for a few shots and then moved on the the main spot. Baby girl was definitely a tough cookie! She made us really work and wasn't sure she liked a camera pointed at her  but I think we got some really good images.

This was how she put baby to sleep. Ha ha!

This one I thought was so adorable! These images just go so well together I couldn't bear to separate them. <3 <3

Baby Boy Bliss | Clarksville, TN Newborn Photographer

I am blessed...I just LOVE babies! and I have been blessed with newborn sessions lately. My absolute favorite sessions are these sweet sweet new babies! I just love their smell and laying my cheek on their soft heads and just cuddling them! There is nothing as precious as a brand new baby. I just wanted to share a few images from a couple of recent baby boy newborn sessions I recently did. Two baby boys in one week! Enjoy the peek into these sessions

For this one we laid baby on a warm (but not hot) seat and he just snuggled right in like it was where he was supposed to be. Mom was ducking down behind the bike with a hand on baby the whole time.

One of my absolute favorites!

Newborn Safety is Always First Priority | Clarksville TN newborn Photographer

I had a few people asking about the "head in the hands" pose since I did one recently. I wanted to show how it is done. No babies can not do this on their own nor is it safe to try and "balance" a baby this way. The baby's safety is always first priority. A hand was on the baby at all times. The pose is achieved in Photoshop by combining several photographs into one finished portrait. Never allow a photographer to do something with your child that you are not comfortable with. It is OK to say no. We always have many other ideas and options to try.

*Now I am not big on photoshopping images all the time. I prefer natural images and believe in getting as much right in-camera as possible before post-processing but sometimes these types of shots are fun and in this case the parents specifically requested this pose. I just loved this little guy! He is so adorable!
