I love children sessions! Especially fairy sessions and any other dress up sessions which I have come to call Childhood Memory sessions! These type of sessions are intended to bring back and capture the classic innocence and joy of childhood. Childhood memory sessions remind us of the days we played make believ an became fairies, princesses, supeheroes, huck finn, had lemonade stands, and did ballet in the woods or had a tea party with friends. These sessions create images that quickly become heirlooms and make a great piece of art hanging in your home, preserving these precious memories for a lifetime. Watch as your children experience the simple joy of a childhood experience that is quickly being replaced by video games and television. Watch as your child giggles and experiences the same simple joys we did as children.

This little guy is about to turn two years old and was so full of great energy! He was such a cutie! Mom and Dad and I really got a workout keeping up with him but it was worth it! At this age, especially with boys or very active toddlers, outdoor portrait sessions tend to work best. I prefer outdoors simply because the background is real, not painted, and I find that especially the children are more relaxed and comfortable. The more comfortable you are, the better the pictures will turn out. An outdoor session with me can turn into an adventure. I have even been known to climb into the water myself to capture a great, memorable image!
Here are a few shots from the session:

Sorry everyone for getting behind on the blog posts. It has been one crazy and busy summer! Anyway as I start to get caught up I wanted to share some images from this 9 month session. Isn't she just the most adorable thing?? I love when the little ones are so happy and love to smile! This is definitely a fun age to photograph! Hope you enjoy the sneak peek momma and everyone else!
